Can slow website be an AD DNS issue?

I am working with a client who has a fairly simple implementation of AD running under Windows Server 2012. Their internal local AD DNS domain name is Testeroo.org and this is also the name of their external domain. I manage their DNS records at Dotster.com. The client has a website hosted at Bluehost, and the organization’s external DNS records point the * and the www A records to the Bluehost servers.
